From January 28 to 30, the V Anniversary International Forum of Magicians was held in St. Petersburg. For three days, the Northern Capital became the center of Practical Magic.
More than 500 illusionists and magicians took part in IFM 2019 (17 participating countries). The forum’s program consisted of a competition, lectures and master classes, an international DEALER SHOW, GALA SHOW, as well as informal communication at parties.
This year’s competition program included five nominations: Stage Magic, Mentalism, Close-Up Magic, Cardistry and Children’s Magic (under 16 years old). The composition of the honorary jury of IFM 2019 was headed by the president of the world-famous and most respected organization of magical communities FISM – Domenico Dante (Italy). Together with the FISM vice president – Satoru Yamomoto (Japan), they carefully studied the acts of each participant, gave useful advice and guidance. Vasil Anthony and Ravlik Anna Maria (who took 1st and 3rd places in the Stage Magic nomination) after the competition were invited by Mr. Dante to the World Magic Convention in Italy.
The most anticipated guests of the forum were the famous illusionists Patrick Kun (Thailand / USA), Andrei Jikh (Russia / USA), Henry Harrius (China). Stars of the World of Magic gave master classes, shared secrets, and also brought their products, which could be purchased immediately at the Forum.
At the IFM, more than 25 original stores were presented, where props and all kinds of effects for magicians were sold. Almost all dealers had Sold-out by the end of the forum.
One of the significant events at the IFM 2019 was the presentation of the new club of illusionists – UCM (United Club of Magicians) Very soon the club will be accredited by the FISM organization, – Domenico Dante has stated at the closing ceremony of the IFM 2019.
The International Forum of Magicians is one of the most important and anticipated magical events in Russia of the and the CIS, which has been held annually in St. Petersburg since 2015. The creator and creative producer of IFM is the famous Russian illusionist – Alexander Murataev, the event is supported by Comedy Club Saint Petersburg. Each time the forum gathers a huge number of the best illusionists from around the world, in past years such famous illusionists as Shin Lim, Lennart Green, Franz Harary came to visit the IFM.
Summing up the results of IFM 2019, we can safely say that in 2020 there will be even more dealers, distinguished guests, participants, more surprises and MAGIC. Do not miss it!
